Wellness Radar editorial verdict

NOW Foods has been independently tested more times than any other supplement brand in North America, and the results are consistently boring in the best way — labels match contents, no surprise heavy metals, no fraudulent dosing. They aren't NSF Certified for Sport, so competitive athletes should look elsewhere, but for a household person taking magnesium glycinate or omega-3s, NOW gives you 70% of the quality at 30% of the price. The lab regularly publishes COAs on request, which says more than most premium brands' marketing.

Strengths

  • Independently verified across multiple Consumer Lab and ConsumerReports rounds
  • Per-mg cost among the lowest of any vertically integrated US brand
  • COAs available on request for individual lots

Caveats

  • Not NSF Certified for Sport — banned-substance risk on flagged categories for athletes
  • Massive catalog includes some marketing-driven SKUs (adaptogen blends, etc.)
  • Packaging is unglamorous — buy on substance, not aesthetics
